From May 8-10, the 6th WCO AEO Conference, themed "Harnessing the Power of AEO Programmes for Inclusive and Sustainable Global Trade", was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. The conference was convened by the World Customs Organization and organized by the China Customs and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. Bondex was invited to attend as a representative of China Customs AEO enterprises.

Besides import and export enterprises, several comprehensive cross-border supply chain service providers, including Bondex also attended the conference. This reflects the Customs' new positioning and expectations for AEO enterprises, which have shifted from merely completing customs declaration inspections to ensuring the security and compliance of supply chains through professional, systematic, and efficient means. This necessitates that companies, while benefiting from the policy advantages of AEO accreditation, transform their AEO mindset, turning the AEO standards from being the 'ultimate goal of compliance management' into the 'threshold of compliance management.' Only by doing so can they steer clear of compliance risks and genuinely safeguard the supply chain security of trading entities. As one of the few supply chain logistics enterprises represented at the event, Bondex has consistently been at the forefront of the industry, continuously exploring and adapting to Customs' new positioning and expectations for AEO enterprises. Being among the first batch of AEO-certified companies, Bondex has always regarded supply chain security and compliance as the cornerstone of its development, ensuring the safety, stability, and smooth operation of supply chains through specialized and efficient measures.

We noticed that previous conferences and events regarding customs and compliance were primarily attended by compliance executives from multinational corporations. In contrast, this conference saw participants from Chinese enterprises, including private and state-owned ones. Through our communications with the attendees, we learned that Chinese enterprises are acutely aware of the potential customs compliance risks they may encounter in their "going global" endeavors. They aspire to leverage the World Customs Organization, an authoritative global platform for customs affairs, to establish a stable and reliable global customs compliance system. In fact, even during the preparatory stage of the conference, we received inquiries from clients, with those representing new forms of foreign trade, such as cross-border e-commerce, 3D printing, new energy, photovoltaics, software, and other new productive forces, expressing the most urgency. Harnessing our deep understanding and interpretation of AEO certification policies, we have been able to provide these clients with secure, reliable, and efficient services.

Bondex has derived substantial benefits from the Conference, which not only consolidates our leading position in the industry but also further strengthens our "go global" strategic development goals. Leveraging the resource advantages of a listed logistics supply chain enterprise, Bondex will fully utilize our capabilities to offer clients contract logistics based on customs expertise, international transportation capacity, overseas customs clearance and warehousing, as well as cross-border factory relocation services. Working closely with clients, we aim to jointly address the challenges and seize opportunities in global trade, safeguarding the "going global" journey of Chinese enterprises with safe, stable, end-to-end, one-stop supply chain logistics services.

Congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 6th WCO AEO Conference once again.
